BLACK CROWS

Black crows sittin’ on a fence post.

My face covered in shame.

God knows I been up to no good.

All these sins gonna make me sing.

Only one reason to be on this side of town.

The arms that keep me warm when my lover’s not around.

Each time he calls my name I say I’ll never come back again.

But when my baby’s gone I let him slip back in.

I know some day that I’m gonna have to pay for these sins.

Black crows sittin’ on a fence post.

My face covered in shame.

God knows I been up to no good.

All these sins gonna make me sing.

I need my baby, Lord I know it don’t always show.

This don’t feel all right, even though no one knows.

This man’s gonna break me if I don’t try and fight.

Need to run away, Lord find some place to hide.

Try to resist him but I know I’ll step inside.

Black crows sittin’ on a fence post.

My face covered in shame.

God knows I been up to no good.

All these sins gonna make me sing.
